Mark Abrahamian, a guitarist with Starship during the time of vocalist Mickey Thomas' leadership, has died at the age of 46, the band announced on Monday. He reportedly died due to a heart attack following a performance on Sunday at the DeVent Center in Norfolk, Nebraska.
Abrahamian also played with Survivor, Toto, Loverboy, and AC/DC during his career. He joined Starship 11 years ago.
Road manager Scott Harrison said that after Starship performed Sunday, Abrahamian went to the
dressing room and complained about not feeling well. He collapsed and
was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy was performed on Monday.
